How to do keyword research for new website (Free Tools)

Doing keyword research for a new fresh website is not as easy as we think, because while doing keyword research for the new website, we need to keep many things in mind. So here is the step-by-step

Keyword research guide for new website

Find primary keyword ideas:

In order to find primary keyword ideas, you need to brainstorm and think about how your users could find you on the internet. This list should contain keywords that are relevant to your product/service and that people would search for. They should also be the keywords that are most likely to increase the number of visitors to your site. Primary keywords are also called seed keywords.

Make a list of related keywords:

Related keywords are keywords that are closely related to your primary keyword. They are often used when you write about your product, your service, or your website.

With Google Autosuggest and people also asked, find the related keywords to your primary keyword ideas and make a list of them.

Check the competition and search:

After making a list of primary keywords and related keywords, find their competition and monthly searches.

To check keyword metrics like search volume and competition , go to Google Keyword Planner and search for your keywords. The keyword metrics on this page tell you how many people are searching for your keywords and how many times those searches are performed. The higher these numbers are, the more likely it is that those searches are turning into conversions for you.

Focus on low competition keywords:

Because you are just getting started with SEO for your new website, ranking for your target high-competition keywords will be difficult. So make a balance of low competition and high-competition keywords to target.

To find low competition keywords, use the SEMSCOOP Keyword research tool. This tool helps you find the lowest competition keywords by providing a list of keywords that are similar to your primary keyword, but with lower competition. The tool also provides data on how many searches each of these keywords get and how much competition they have. Visit here to check more free SEO Tools

Keyword Mapping:

This is the final step of keyword research and keyword targeting. In this, you need to select the pages on which you want to target keywords.

To find out on which page which keyword should be targeted, you can use this simple technique

In the place of the keyword, put your keyword. After searching for this on Google, you will get the first result page which is most relevant to your keyword.
